2013 Taltarni T Series Shiraz

Renowned for their solidly built reds this is an excellent quaffer from Taltarni with plenty of immediate drinking appeal.

The 2013 Vintage was a very good year for reds in the Pyrenees. The summer was warm and dry with perfect ripening conditions. The wine underwent for 12-16 months oak maturation.

Opaque black purple colour with a dark purple hue. The nose offers up scents of ripe blackberries, dark plums and liquorice followed by some vanillin confectionary and pepper. Medium to full bodied with a joosy vibrant mouthfeel and plenty of richness the palate features flavours of blackberries, plums and liquorice with a background of lightly toasted cedar and pepper. Velvety tannins. Good depth with a medium to long aftertaste of succulent blackberries, liquorice, plums, light cedar and pepper.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
