Matured in large format old French oak puncheons for 14 months.
Near opaque dark red black colour with a deep bright dark red hue. Aromas of dark raspberries, dark plum and subtle liquorice emerge from the glass over some confectionary and spice. Medium bodied the palate possesses succulent flavours of ripe dark raspberries and plum followed by liquorice and confectionary with a spicy back palate. Very fine grained velvet like tannins. Excellent depth finishing with a long spicy dark raspberry, plum, liquorice and subtle earth aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
