2013 Smidge The Ging Shiraz

Impenetrable inky black dark red colour with a very deep dark red black hue. Heady aromas of liquorice, ripe blackberries, black plum and dark chocolate waft from the glass with underlying vanillin oak, mocha and a hint of spicy raisin. Huge, ripe voluptuous palate packed with decadently rich flavours of black plum, liquorice and dark chocolate over a back drop of vanillin oak and spicy mocha with a trace of heat evident on the finish. Densely concentrated with the solidly built tannin structure appearing velvet like beneath the core of richly textured fruit. Long conclusion of black plum, liquorice, dark chocolate, vanillin oak and spice.
