2013 Settebello Coppe Shiraz

Matured for 21 months in French oak.Totally opaque inky black core with a deep very dark red hue. The nose is relatively subdued with scents of liquorice and dark plums slowly emerging over some subtle dried fruit characters and spicy cedar. Rich and opulently textured but drying out towards the finish with slightly chalky tannins the palate has mouthfilling flavours of liquorice, spicy black plums, some dark chocolate and very spicy vanillin oak. Some heat is also present. Aftertaste of spicy black plums, liquorice and toasty vanillin cedar.
