A new release from Schild designed to showcase the most exciting parcels of fruit. Maturation took place in a combination of new and seasoned French oak hogsheads.
Spectacular black as night colour with a very deep dark purple black hue. Scented aromas of liquorice and ripe blackberries are followed by some more subtle black cherry, vanillin oak, delicate dried meat characters and pepper. Full, rich and sumptuous the palate possesses expansive flavours of ripe blackberries and liquorice followed by traces of dark chocolate, dark plum, vanillin cedar and spice. Velvet like tannins but still very structural. Excellent length and concentration without the excess weight. Very long aftertaste of ripe blackberry, liquorice, dark chocolate and spicy vanillin oak.
Cellar 8-10 years.
Alc 14.7%
