Rocche Costamagna is located in the centre of La Morra and has been owned by the Costamagna family since 1841. The wine was matured in French oak barriques for 12 months and then received a further 16 months bottle age before being released.

Opaque dark red black colour with a bright dark red hue. The nose exhibits aromatics of black cherries intermixed with hints of liquorice and tar followed by earth and spicy leather end notes. Beneath the initial richness of fruit is a sturdily structured wine which features generous flavours of ripe black cherries and liquorice over a back drop of inky violet like infusions, earth and traces of spicy leather. Bright fresh finish with chewy tannins. Medium to long aftertaste of sweet black cherries, liquorice, earth and subtle spicy leather.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc 14.5%
