2013 Punt Road Cabernet Sauvignon

Opaque black dark crimson red colour with a deep dark crimson red hue. Aromas of blackcurrant and dark mulberry are overlaid by cedary characters with tobacco and spice following on. Medium weight with sufficient richness and elegance the palate features flavours of blackcurrant and dark mulberries over cedar, some light tobacco and spice. Very fine grained perfectly integrated tannins. Medium to long blackcurrant, dark mulberry, cedary tobacco characters and spice aftertaste.

Bright crimson-purple; a clearly articulated cabernet from the fragrant bouquet through to the medium-bodied palate and long finish; cassis and a touch of earth and briar are all on the money, giving the wine length and authority, aided and abetted by savoury tannins and tempered oak. Drink by 2025.
