2013 Plantagenet Shiraz

Totally opaque black red colour with a bright dark red hue. Scented aromas of liquorice and black cherries are followed by subtle vanillin cedar, some meatiness, scorched earth and pepper. Medium weight, elegantly textured and possessing a structured finish the palate has flavours of ripe dark cherries and liquorice over toasty vanillin cedar, a touch of meatiness and pepper. Solid tannin with just a touch of grip being imparted. Aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, liquorice, smoky vanillin cedar and peppery dried meats.
