2013 Pierrepoint Pinot Noir

Matured in French oak barriques for 12 months. Excellent depth displaying a dark red black tinged core with a very dark red hue. Aromas of black cherries, dried meats and a touch of anise are overlaid by smoky cedar with earthy leather and spice following. The palate has good richness and is quite savoury featuring flavours of black cherries, anise and toasty oak over a touch of clove, dried meats and spice. Very fine grained tannins. Good depth with a long conclusion of black cherries, anise, toasty oak, dried meats and spicy earth.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
