2013 Pico Maccario Lavignone Barbera d'Asti

Semi translucent bright dark red colour with a tinge of black on the edges and a light crimson purple hue. Aromas of fresh dark cherries are followed by some inky earth like characters and spice. Light to medium weight the palate has fruity dark cherry and plum flavours over some light earth with a spicy finish. Soft and savoury with very fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, subtle earth and spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
