2013 Penny's Hill Footprint Shiraz

Impenetrable inky black core with a deep dark red black hue. Intense aromatics of liquorice, ripe blackberries and dark plums waft from the glass overlaying dark chocolate infusions, vanillin oak and spicy mocha. Rich and plushly textured flavours of ripe blackberries, liquorice and dark plum flood the palate over vanillin oak and spicy mocha infusions. The tannins have an underlying firmness and provide the framework to the opulent fruit giving it a robust mouthfeel. Long blackberry, plum, liquorice, vanillin oak and spice aftertaste.
