2013 Paxton MV Shiraz

Totally opaque black crimson colour with a dark crimson red black hue. Aromas of blackberry and liquorice are overlaid by some meatiness with white pepper end notes. Medium weight the palate combines richness with a relatively refined mouthfeel delivering flavours of black cherries and liquorice intermixed with meaty characters followed by a peppery conclusion. Good depth. Tight knit finish with fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of black cherries, liquorice, dried meats and pepper. A cool climate version of McLaren Vale Shiraz.
