Young gun, Patrick Piuze is a recent addition to the Chablis landscape but the wines he has produced so far are already considered amongst the best of the area. Being born in Quebec, Canada, a career in winemaking wasn't really an obvious path for him to take. At age 18, a chance encounter with Marc Chapoutier triggered an immersion into all things vinous that eventually led him to Australia, and then on to Burgundy where he worked for some of the most respected names of the industry: Leflaive, Guffens, Brocard...

Now making wine under his own name, he has forged partnerships with growers on both sides of the Serein, the Chablis river, and has access to a wide range of old vines from different terroirs within Chablis allowing him to showcase the nuances of every village and "Climats" of the area.

Brilliant pale straw colour with a watery hue. On the nose pear top notes are intermixed with wet stone, citrus and fresh herbs. Light across the palate with a nice textural feel the palate has flavours of pear, citrus and wet stone finishing dry with mineral infusions. The wine concludes with an aftertaste of pear, citrus and stony mineral.
