As the largest village in the Cote de Beaune, Meursault has a winemaking history dating back to Roman times. Often seen as the richest and most rounded of the main white appellations in Burgundy, there are still stylistic differences across the large area. Narvaux is high on the hillside and is seen to be much more flinty and mineral driven than wines lower on the slopes.

Brilliant pale straw colour with a distinctive greenish tinge to the outskirts and a watery hue. Scented aromatics of ripe pears and white peaches draped in dried honey drift from the glass followed by biscuity oak, citrusy nougat and spice. Light to medium bodied the elegant palate still possesses loads of freshness with flavours of citrusy white peaches and nectarines overlaying notions of bees wax with some subtle cashew, nougat and spice elements also evident. Clean dry finish with vibrant acidity. Aftertaste of pears, citrusy nectarines, bees wax, subtle lemon butter, light cashew and spice.
Cellar 3-4 years.
Alc. 13%

Other Reviews....
Here too there is a very mild hint of reduction that once again is sufficiently mild as to allow the cool green fruit, citrus and high-toned floral elements to be appreciated. There is a lovely sense of verve as well as very fine detail to the delicious and mineral-inflected medium weight flavors that display plenty of lemony nuances on the clean, dry and impressively complex and persistent finish. This is a really lovely Meursault villages and worth considering.
