Matured for 12 months in French oak. Excellent colour displaying an inky black dark purple core with a dark purple black tinged hue. Nosing reveals ripe blackcurrant top notes followed by a hint of liquorice, cedary tobacco like characters and spice. Big, rich blackcurrant flavours greet the front palate with mulberry, cedary tobacco and spice following up the rear. Dryish finish with solidly constructed, well integrated tannins providing the framework. Medium to long ripe blackcurrant, cedary tobacco and spice aftertaste.
Cellar 4-5 years.

Other Reviews....
Strong crimson hue; the estate-grown wine spent 12 months in French oak, emerging at the other end with the class and character one might expect to sell for $25 or more. It is perfectly sculpted, the varietal expression nigh on perfect, the balance and length likewise. Fruit descriptors are essentially superfluous, if you like cabernet, you will love this wine. Drink by 2028.
