2013 Merricks Estate Chardonnay

Merricks Estate was one of the first commercial vineyards on the Mornington Peninsula being planted in 1978. Matured in French oak barriques for 10 months the 2013 Merricks Estate Chardonnay delivers great value.

Brilliant straw colour with some greenish highlights around the edges and a watery hue. Lifted aromas of ripe white peaches and dried honey are intermixed with cashew followed by some biscuity oak and spice. Medium to full bodied with good richness and a creamy textural feel the palate features flavours of ripe white peaches, cashew and dried honey over a background of biscuity nougat and spice. Clean dry finish with well balanced acidity providing just the right amount of freshness. Long aftertaste of white peach, dried honey, cashew, biscuity nougat and spice.
