2013 Mahi Twin Valleys Vineyard Chardonnay

Matured for 15 months in French barriques. Brilliant pale straw colour with a faint greenish tinge around the edges and a watery hue. Aromas of pear and nectarine are overlaid by some lightly toasted oak, dried honey, biscuity cashew like characters and spice. Fresh and concentrated with a textural creaminess about the mouthfeel the palate features flavours of nectarine and pear melded with dried honey characters followed by traces of nougat and biscuity cashew. Excellent length with perfect balance between the wines textural properties and its freshness on the finish. Long aftertaste of peaches, dried honey, cashew, nougat and spice.
