2013 Lavau Cotes du Rhone Villages

A blend of 50% Grenache and 50% Syrah. Deep dark red black colour with a crimson purple hue. Aromas of ripe black raspberries and liquorice are followed by some black cherries, a hint of incense and spice. Medium weight the palate features flavours of spicy blackberries, black raspberries and liquorice over some lightly scorched earth and subtle incense infusions. Fine grained tannins with a slightly chewy finish. Aftertaste of spicy black cherries, black raspberries, liquorice and scorched earth.
