2013 Kyneton Ridge Estate Heathcote Shiraz

Matured in French oak. Opaque black dark red colour with a very dark red hue. Pronounced liquorice top notes are followed by some ripe blackberry with a vanillin confectionary overlay followed by smoky oak and spice. Bold and luscious, flavours of liquorice and ripe blackberries dominate showing excellent richness over a background of vanillin confectionary, toasty oak and spice. Dryish finish with solid tannins firming up the rear. Medium to long aftertaste of liquorice, blackberries, smoky vanillin oak and spice.
