2013 Kilikanoon Blocks Road Cabernet Sauvignon

The fruit for this Cabernet was sourced from two 42 year old vineyards in Leasingham with maturation taking place in French oak for 18 months.
Excellent colour displaying a midnight black core with a deep dark red black hue. Nosing reveals spicy blackcurrant and black olive aromas followed by some liquorice, cedar and tobacco notes. Tightly focused but possessing good richness the palate has flavours of blackcurrant, liquorice and black olive over a backdrop of cedary tobacco characters and spice. Dry chewy finish with a firm grippy tannin structure. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, liquorice, black olives and spicy cedary tobacco characters. Requires some patience.
