2013 Jericho Shiraz

Matured for 12 months in new and old French oak. Impenetrable inky black colour with a very deep dark purple black hue. Aromas of ripe blackberries, liquorice and subtle dark chocolate are followed by toasty vanillin cedar and spice. Medium to full bodied with a supple elegant mouthfeel, rich dark plum and blackberry flavours are to the fore with underlying liquorice and spicy vanilla cedar nuances. Velvet smooth but solidly constructed tannins. Aftertaste of dark plums, blackberries, liquorice and spicy vanillin cedar.
Cellar 6-8 years.
