2013 Jeanneret Big Fine Girl Riesling

Following on from the outstanding 2012 vintage, 2013 was another scintillating season in the Clare Valley. The long, cool and mostly dry conditions were perfectly scripted to create intense fruit flavours supported by high natural acidities.

Besides drinking a lot of the stuff while graduating in English Literature, Ben Jeanneret, like his father, had no official winemaking credentials, but became consumed by his father's passion. Ben continues to run his plot organically allowing nature to do most of the work. This is another generously styled Riesling from a top vintage.

Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and watery hue. The nose displays intense lemon and lime top notes alongside some orange rind with spicy end notes. On the palate a magnificent pure concentrate of Riesling delivering mouthfilling flavours of lemon, lime and orange rind dominate over a minerally back palate. Clean crisp acid finish with long lemon, lime, orange rind and mineral aftertaste.
