2013 Heartland Cabernet Sauvignon

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep very dark red hue. Aromas of ripe blackcurrant and mulberries meld into some cedary tobacco characters with spicy dried herb end notes. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses good up front richness with flavours of ripe blackcurrants intermixed with cedary tobacco characters followed by some black olives and spice. Dryish finish with the sturdy tannins having a bitter edge to them. Aftertaste of ripe blackcurrants, cedary tobacco characters, black olives and spicy, slightly bitter dried herb infusions.
Cellar 4-5 years.
