2013 Harewood Estate Shiraz

Matured in French oak for 18 months. Totally opaque inky black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. The nose displays lifted liquorice top notes followed by ripe blackberries over some lightly toasted vanillin cedar, a hint of earth and pepper. Rich and full in body the palate has a McLaren Vale like juiciness about it delivering mouthfilling flavours of liquorice, ripe blackberries and black cherries with underlying nuances of toasty vanillin cedar, earth and pepper. Opulent textural feel with velvet smooth tannins. Excellent length with a long conclusion of ripe black cherries, liquorice, blackberries, toasty vanillin cedar, a touch of earth and pepper.
