2013 Glen Eldon Dry Bore Shiraz

Matured for 18-24 months in American and French oak this is a big rich lavishly textured Barossa Shiraz layered with juicy gob smacking fruit. Totally opaque inky black colour with a deep dark red black hue. Intoxicating aromas of liquorice, dark chocolate and ripe blackberries leap out of the glass followed by vanillin oak, mocha and spice. Rich with a thick voluptuous texture the palate is flooded with sumptuous opulent fruit flavours of liquorice, ripe juicy blackberries, dark chocolate and mocha over a background of toasty vanillin oak and spice. Rich supple mouthfeel with satiny tannins and a long finish of liquorice, ripe blackberries, dark chocolate, toasty vanillin oak and spice.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
