2013 Gioiello Estate Syrah

Matured in French oak barriques for 18 months. Totally opaque black as night dark red colour with a deep dark red hue. The nose offers up aromas of liquorice and blackberries followed by some dusty vanillin cedar and spice. Medium bodied the palate has flavours of liquorice, juicy blueberries and fresh plum over vanillin cedar and spice finishing with bright acidity. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of liquorice, ripe blueberries, vanillin cedar, faint earth and spice.
Cellar 5-6 years.
