2013 Gibson Reserve Shiraz

Matured in French oak for 18 months. Superb impenetrable inky black colour with a deep dark purple black tinged hue. Scented aromas of liquorice and dark and dark plum are followed by subtle dark chocolate, toasty vanillin cedar and spice. Rich concentrated flavours of liquorice, blackberries and subtle black cherries flood the palate over some smoky vanillin cedar, dried meats and spice. Elegant plushly textured mouthfeel with velvet smooth tannins. Outstanding length with a long aftertaste of liquorice, blackberries, smoky cedar, dried meats and spice. Has Gibson’s stamp of finesse and class all over it.
