2013 Fowles Wine The Rule Shiraz

Matured for 16 months in new American and French oak puncheons. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced blackberry and liquorice aromas roll out of the glass over some toasty vanillin oak, faint earth and blackpepper. Rich, yet elegant and structured the palate features mouthfilling flavours of liquorice, juicy blackberries, black cherries, toasty vanillin oak and spicy pepper. Finely integrated but robust tannins provide an excellent framework. Long aftertaste of liquorice, blackberries, black cherries, spicy vanillin oak and a dash of pepper.
