The wine is gravity feed into Allier barrels (25% new) and is racked by gas after secondary fermentation, then again at 18 months before being bottled.

Possessing a magnificent Grand Cru like power wave, this Pinot offers exceptional value when one considers many Burgundies at twice or more the price aren’t half as good.

Showing good depth this outstanding Pinot displays a deep dark red colour with a crimson red hue. Very perfumed and complex nose with aromas of ripe dark cherries intermixed with strawberries and subtle anise followed by some meaty characters with faint clove and spice end notes. Light to medium weight the palate has tremendous richness and an exceptional power wave. Mouthfilling flavours of ripe dark cherries, strawberries and dark plum are intermixed with complexing meaty clove like characters, spicy cedar and a faint touch of stalk. It’s both delicious and savoury with superb depth. Velvet smooth perfectly integrated tannins finishing with a very long conclusion of ripe dark cherries, strawberries, meaty clove like characters and spicy cedar. Geelong Pinot Noir at its magical best.
