2013 Dr. John's Willunga Shiraz

Opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Aromas of ripe dark plum and black cherries are followed by some liquorice, vanillin cedar and spice. Full bodied, rich and opulently textured the palate is flooded with lavish flavours of liquorice, dark plums and black cherries over a back drop of toasty vanillin oak, subtle dark chocolate with a spicy peppery finish. Velvet smooth tannins. Excellent power with a long persistent aftertaste of spicy dark plums, liquorice and toasty vanillin oak.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
