The name of this wine has many wine lovers perplexed. Its origins date back from the earliest European settlement of Marlborough, where sheep were first introduced to the district. There were few fences and the sheep were rounded up by the 'boundary keeping dogs'. The story goes that some of these boundary dogs turned feral and inhabited a hill which became known as 'Dog Point'.

Brilliant water like colour with a faint greenish tinge around the edges and watery hue. The nose displays pronounced aromas of passionfruit and herbaceous gooseberry with a light grassy overlay followed by some citrus and asparagus end notes. The palate possesses a similar intensity to the nose delivering a mouth watering flavour profile of ripe gooseberry and passionfruit alongside some herbaceous grassy characters, citrus and light asparagus. Dry crisp mineral infused finish. Excellent depth with long herbaceous gooseberry, passionfruit, citrus and asparagus aftertaste.
Drink over next 1-2 years (2013-2015).
Alc 13.5%
