Dodgy Bros. is the partnership of a grower, a viticulturist and a winemaker who still like to do business the old fashioned way and seal all their business deals with a handshake producing wines of a quality stand point that are anything but dodgy. The fruit for this wine was sourced from 2 different vineyards about 1km apart in the Sellicks Foothills sub region of McLaren Vale with maturation taking place in a mixture of old French barriques and one new American hogshead.

A rich, lusciously textured and boldly flavoured McLaren Vale Shiraz

Superb colour displaying an impenetrable inky black core with a very deep dark purple black hue. Intense aromas of ripe blackberries, liquorice and dark plums arise from the glass followed by some dark chocolate and vanillin confectionary. Full and rich the palate is packed with succulent flavours of ripe blackberries, liquorice and dark plums with an opulent, almost liqueur like mouthfeel. Underlying nuances of dark chocolate, toasty vanillin oak and spice follow. Velvet smooth tannins. Excellent length and persistence finishing with a long aftertaste of ripe blackberries, liquorice, toasty vanillin oak and spice.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc 14.7%
