2013 Darling Park Josh's Farm Vineyard Pinot Noir

Semi translucent bright cherry red crimson colour with crimson red hue. Powerful primary aromas of ripe dark cherries, dark raspberries and strawberries emerge on the nose with undercurrents of anise and spicy cedar. Rich, fruity and generous the palate is still quite youthful and unevolved with flavours of ripe dark cherries, strawberries and dark raspberry followed by hints of spicy anise. Soft velvet like tannins with good fresh acidity on the finish. The wine shows good power with a long aftertaste of fruity dark cherries, dark raspberries, light anise and spice. Needs further time in the bottle and will be interesting to have another look at it in 12 months.
