$635.88 Dozen
Cellar: 8 - 10 Years (2024-2026)
ABV: 14%

Superb colour displaying a saturated inky black core with a very deep dark purple black hue. Aromas of cassis and black cherries overlay liquorice, lightly charred cedar, tobacco and spice. The palate possesses plenty of up front richness but lurking below is a very structured wine. Mouthfilling and youthful flavours of cassis, dark cherries and subtle liquorice fill the palate with underlying cedar and spice. Tight inky structure with solidly built tannins imparting the firmness on the finish. Medium to long aftertaste of freshly crushed blackcurrants, liquorice, cedar and spice. Requires a lot of patience.
Cellar 8-10 years.
Alc 14%

Other Reviews….
Exceptionally dense crimson-purple showing through on the rim; blackcurrant/cassis fruit is perfectly matched with ripe, persistent tannins and quality oak. Virtually unchanged since first tasted Jan '15, and will surely be one of the great Dalwhinnie cabernets as it slowly matures over the next 20+ years. Drink by 2043.
