2013 Dalrymple Pinot Noir

2013 completes a trifecta of very respectable Pinots from this affordable producer. Semi translucent bright dark red colour with a tinge of black on the edges and a crimson red hue. Lifted aromas of dark cherries and strawberries are followed by traces of anise, some meatiness and light spicy cedar. Light in body weight but with no shortage of personality the palate features supplely textured dark cherry, strawberry and anise flavours with underlying spicy toasted oak. Soft velvety tannins. Excellent power wave with a long savoury aftertaste of dark cherries, anise, light toasty oak and spice.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
