2013 Dal Zotto Barbera

Bright dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Nosing reveals scents of black cherries, dark plum and liquorice over some earth, smoky cedar and spice showing good fragrant lift. Medium bodied the palate has fruity generously textured flavours of dark plums and black cherries followed by some liquorice, lightly scorched earth and spice. Dryish finish with very fine grained tannins. Bright acidity. Long aftertaste of dark plum, dark cherries, liquorice and spicy scorched earth.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
