2013 Chateau Doisy-Daene Dry White

Produced from 100% Sauvignon Blanc. Brilliant very pale straw colour with a watery hue. On the nose herbaceous grassy top notes are intermixed with fresh asparagus followed by some citrus and fresh herbs with pencil shaving end notes. Light and fresh the palate features flavours of citrus and herbaceous unripe gooseberries intermixed with some asparagus and grassiness finishing quite dry with some light pencil shavings characters. Lively acidity with an aftertaste of fresh asparagus, citrus, herbaceous grassy characters and cedary pencil shaving overtones.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

This has a bracing, stony profile, with lemon pulp and chamomile notes backed by a very racy, pebble-textured core of jicama, blanched almond, tarragon and thyme. Features a long, pure, piercing finish. If you like the bony profile, try now; or let this soften in the cellar. Drink now through 2017.
