Family owned and operated, Bundaleer Vineyard, planted on the edge of the Bundaleer Forest, is located 200 km north of Adelaide. The region is just 70 km north of the Clare and is part of the Southern Flinders Ranges GI. Sourced from very low yields (2 tonnes per acre) for such a miserly priced wine this rich concentrated effort saw maturation in a mixture of American and French oak for approximately 18 months.

Delivering a good deal more than it’s price point would suggest this excellent Shiraz is packed with rich, luscious black fruits offset against a solid chewy backbone

Fantastic depth of colour exhibiting an impenetrable inky black core with a very deep dark purple black hue. Heavily scented aromas of liquorice, ripe blackberries and black cherries are followed by vanillin oak and dark chocolate with subtle blackpepper end notes. Full bodied luscious black fruit flavours of liquorice, ripe blackberries and black cherry saturate the palate over a background of toasty vanillin oak and spice. Firmly structured, slightly grippy, yet balanced tannins give the back palate a sense of chewiness and counteract the opulence of the fruit. Excellent power with a long finish of liquorice, ripe blackberries, black cherry, vanillin oak and spice.
Cellar 3-4 years.
Alc 14%
