Matured in French oak for 24 months. Excellent depth displaying an impenetrable black as night core with a very deep dark red black hue. Intense blackberry and liquorice aromatics dominate the olfactory senses with spicy mocha, smoky vanillin oak and pepper also chiming in. Full bodied, rich and opulently textured, lavish flavours of liquorice and blackberries saturate the palate over lightly smoked vanillin oak, flashes of mocha and spicy pepper. Outstanding power and depth. Sturdy tannins provide a solid frame yet are largely undetectable beneath the huge core of fruit. Long aftertaste of ripe blackberries, liquorice, some mocha, smoky vanillin oak and spicy blackpepper. A large scaled, lavish production of Barossa Shiraz.
Cellar 4-5 years.
Alc 14.5%
