2013 Allegrini Corte Giara Pinot Grigio

The Corte Giara range is an offspring of the famous Allegrini family in the Valpoliccella region. Together with a few select winegrowers, they created a concept centered around modern and eclectic wines, representing great value for money, with international varietals through to Amarone, Reciotos and other classic wines of the Veneto region.
Brilliant pale straw colour with a watery hue. Nosing reveals scents of pear and ripe apples which overlay a light nuttiness and some spice. Light and dry with a nice textural feel the palate features pear and fresh apple flavours followed by some honeysuckle, lingering dried nut characters and light spice. Perfectly judged acidity with a pear, apple, honeysuckle, dried nut and spice aftertaste.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
