Matured for 18 months in American and French oak. Totally opaque black crimson colour with a deep crimson red-black hue. The nose offers up aromas of liquorice, black cherries and black pepper followed by some black olive and toasty cedar. Medium weight the palate is elegantly structured with good underlying richness. Flavours of liquorice and blackberries dominate over toasty vanillin cedar and pepper. Dry finish with solidly constructed tannins providing a good framework. Medium to long aftertaste of liquorice, blackberries, toasty vanillin cedar and pepper.
Cellar 4-5 years.
Alc 14.5%

Other Reviews….
Matured for 18 months in French and American oak. Bright crimson-purple; a vibrant and fresh shiraz, red fruits, black fruits, fine spice and even finer tannins, dance with abandon in the mouth. Didn't need its gold medal at the Cowra Wine Show '14 to push its claims - just lovely stuff. Drink by 2027.
