2012 Vina Cobos Bramare Marchiori Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Sourced from vines over 50 years old with yields of 2.45 tonnes per acre, the Marchiori Cabernet was matured in French oak for 17 months of which 65% was new.

Magnificent totally opaque inky black colour with a very deep dark crimson red black hue. Pronounced aromas of rich ripe blackcurrant are followed by some black cherry and liquorice with underlying vanillin cedar, subtle smokiness and spice notes. Incredibly rich the palate has an opulent supplely textured mouthfeel that features dense, concentrated flavours of ripe blackcurrants, black cherries, liquorice and dark chocolate over some vanillin cedar and spice. Silky smooth tannins with tremendous depth and power. Long aftertaste of ripe blackcurrants, dark chocolate, liquorice and spicy vanillin oak.
