Superb impenetrable inky black dark purple colour with a dark purple red black tinged hue. Aromas of liquorice, ripe blackberries and dark plums arise from the glass with some underlying earthy cedar, vanillin confectionary and subtle pepper end notes. Rich and full bodied with the acid/tannin ratio deftly balanced against the opulent fruit giving the wine a sense of elegance. Mouthfilling flavour of liquorice, blackberries and dark plum dominate over vanillin confectionary and delicate meaty cedar like characters with a spicy finish. Velvet smooth tannins. Excellent depth with a long powerful conclusion of liquorice, blackberry, vanillin confectionary, subtle meatiness and spice.
