2012 Tscharke Barossa Grounds Collection Marananga Grenache

Deep dark red core with a tinge of black on the edges and a dark crimson red hue. The nose reveals aromas of fresh dark raspberries and plum alongside some liquorice with a smoked meat overlay and spicy end notes. Medium weight the palate boasts rich sumptuously textured flavours of ripe dark raspberries, plum juice and liquorice with underlying meaty scorched earth characters and a very spicy finish. Succulent, rich, powerful fruit with velvet smooth tannins. Excellent length with a long aftertaste of ripe dark raspberry, liquorice, meaty scorched earth and spice.
