Produced from 100% Mataro the Bandol region of France is the inspiration for this wine with maturation taking place in new French barriques for 2 years.

Impenetrable inky black colour with a very deep dark red black tinged hue. Heady aromas of liquorice, black cherries and dark ripe plum waft from the glass followed by underlying scents of dark chocolate, vanillin cedar, faint earth and spice. Full bodied and outrageously rich the palate delivers an exuberant flavour profile of liquorice, black cherries and dark plum overlaying a background of toasty oak, subtle black olive, earth and spice. Voluptuously textured with velvety tannins. Superb concentration and power finishing with an exceptionally long liquorice, black cherry, dark plum, scorched earth and spice aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc 15.5%
