The vine age is 100+ years for the oldest parcel and around 20 years for the youngest. Aged in a combination of new and old French oak.

Totally opaque black dark crimson red colour with deep dark crimson red hue. The nose shows excellent perfumed lift with scents of ripe blackberry, liquorice, dark chocolate and vanillin confectionary exuding from the glass followed by some mocha end notes. Rich and opulently textured the palate boasts an abundance of flavours including liquorice, ripe blackberry, dark chocolate, some vanillin mocha like characters and subtle spice. Plush mouthfeel with velvet smooth tannins. Excellent length with long exuberant aftertaste of liquorice, blackberry, dark chocolate, vanillin oak and subtle spice.
