2012 Sons of Eden Remus Shiraz

Sourced from 50 year old plus Eden Valley vines the wine was aged predominately in new French oak for a period of 22 months. Outstanding colour with an impenetrable midnight black core and a very deep dark purple black hue. The nose displays youthful but intense aromatics of ripe dark plum and liquorice followed by some subtle roasted meat like characters with spicy cedar end notes. The palate features rich succulently textured flavours of blackberries, liquorice and dark plums flood the palate with some underlying meatiness and cedar on the back palate finishing with plenty of spice. Superb power with supple velvety tannins. Very long aftertaste of liquorice, blackberries, dark plum, subtle smoked meats and spice.
