Fruit for the 2012 Adamo is sourced from vineyards ranging from 6 to 60 years old located in the Western ranges of the Barossa. Yields averaged around 1.8 tonnes per acre with maturation taking place in a combination of 15% new French barriques with the balance being 2-4 year old French barriques and hogheads for a period of 12 months.

A terrific example of modern styled Barossa Shiraz.

Superb inky black core that’s totally impenetrable with a very deep dark purple black hue. The nose exhibits intense ripe blackberry and liquorice top notes followed by some more subtle black cherry, vanillin cedar, dried meats and spice scents. Abundantly rich and opulent with plenty of drive the palate boasts expansive supplely textured flavours of ripe blackberries, dark plum and liquorice with underlying vanillin cedar and spice. Outstanding power with very fine grained velvet like tannins and a very long aftertaste of ripe blackberries, liquorice, dark plum and spicy vanillin cedar.
Cellar 6-8 years.
Alc 14.5%
