2012 Small Gully Wines The Pilgrim Shiraz

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Heady aromas of ripe dark plums, blackberries, liquorice and dark chocolate waft from the glass followed by vanillin oak and mocha. Huge in weight, concentration and richness the palate boasts voluptuously textured flavours of ripe dark plums, blackberries and liquorice over a background of dark chocolate, vanillin oak and subtle spice. Fat, rich and luscious with sweet round tannins and low acidity. Outstanding concentration and depth with a very long plushly textured aftertaste of ripe dark plums, blackberries, liquorice, dark chocolate and vanillin oak. A very exuberant Barossa Shiraz.
Drink over next 3-4 years.
