2012 Scott Chardonnay

Only 90 dozen of this wine were produced with maturation taking place in a combination of new, one and three year old French oak barriques. Brilliant very pale straw colour with a greenish tinge on the edges and watery hue. The nose opens with pristine white peach notes overlaid by some cashew with citrus and a faint hint of nougat following. Light weight and elegant but relatively creamy in texture the palate has flavours of cashew and white peach followed by some nougat, citrus and spice. Clean dry finish with long aftertaste of white peach, cashew, citrus and spice.
